Angela Gruffman of Telluride Spa Concierge Headshot
  • Owner

Angela moved to Telluride in 2004, starting first as a massage therapist at The Peaks Spa for 10 years. During that time, she also started taking private clients. After years of working for companies and independently, Angela teamed up with Jennifer Lybrand to create Telluride Spa Concierge.

Their vision: to create a company where they, and other talented massage therapists could live their dream in Telluride---- to work, play, and collaborate in their community – in a balanced way.

Angela loves the body; how a healthy body allows us to joyfully experience the world around us. Her favorite ways to do this is by yoga, hiking, and mountain biking. She recently studied structural integration bodywork—bodywork that relieves the body from pain and helps us to live a happier, lighter, and freer body to move; and brings this skill into her treatments. Among her main loves in life: her family, love of the outdoors, amazing massage, bodywork, and collaborating with other talented massage therapists in our community.

In 1997, Jennifer graduated with a dual certification in medical massage and Polarity Therapy from The New Mexico Academy of Healing Arts. She has since remained dedicated to her craft by studying other healing modalities worldwide, such as Thai massage, Neuromuscular Therapy, Lomi-Lomi, and Myoskeletal Therapy.

Jennifer is passionate about massage therapy and it comes through in her touch. She works slowly and methodically using mindfulness practices to connect with her clients. With well-honed precision, Jennifer provides the perfect combination of eastern and western modalities to individualize each client’s treatment. As a result of many years of practice, Jennifer has become an advocate for relaxation. In our modern world where life is busy, time on the massage table is an invaluable and rejuvenating experience.

In addition to massage, Jennifer is also a licensed esthetician, practicing deep cleansing and hydrating skincare that is perfect for our high altitude, low humidity environment.

Skilled hands paired with mindful intention create the space for you to wind down, heal, and connect.

    1. Melt away Pre-Telluride neck & shoulder work stress

    2. Relieve travel aches

    3. Recover from Post Telluride adventures. You need a 60 min on an average day so go ahead and book a 90 min.

The best way to describe my massage style is: "customized slow-motion sports recovery massage". I'm a no nonsense meat 'n' potatoes body worker. My husband Trevor and I are both massage therapists so give us a call for an earlier couples massage and have the rest of the day together with the family or get one later and kick back by the fireplace in your robes.
